How to define the maximum number of data records to be imported

The following describes how to change the maximum number of data records to be imported.

Before you begin

Make sure you have been assigned a role with the appropriate user authorization and access rights.

Pay attention to the following cases:

  • If you have been assigned a role with both write and create access rights, you can import a csv or xlsx file with both new records and records existing on the MDM server.
  • If you have been assigned a role with write and no create access rights, you can import a csv or xlsx file with only records existing on the MDM server.
  • If you have been assigned a role with no write access right, you cannot import a csv or xlsx file.

Procedure

  1. Go to the directory <$INSTALLDIR>/conf. Here the <$INSTALLDIR> specifies where the MDM server has been installed.
  2. Edit the file mdm.conf and modify the parameter max.import.browserecord as required.

For example, if you set its value to 2000 and want to import a file containing over 2000 data records, only a maximum of 2000 data records will be imported successfully.

  3. Save your changes.
  4. Restart the MDM server.
  5. Clear the cache of your browser, and then access Talend MDM Web UI to verify that the changes have taken effect.
