How to hide the Import and Export button

You are allowed to hide the Import and Export button in Talend MDM Web UI.

To import or export a massive number of data records, you are recommended to design a Job in Talend Studio rather than using the Import and Export button in Talend MDM Web UI.

Procedure

  1. Go to the directory <$INSTALLDIR>/conf.
  2. Edit the file mdm.conf and set max.import.browserecord=0 and max.export.browserecord=0.

    You can set only one of them to 0 so that the corresponding Import... or Export option is invisible from the menu list when you click the Import and Export button on the data browser page.

  3. Save your changes.
  4. Restart the MDM server.
  5. Clear the cache of your browser, and then access Talend MDM Web UI to verify that the changes have taken effect.
