Upgrade of third-party and open source software |
All third-party and open source tools have been upgraded to their latest
versions for better security and vulnerability protection. |
New capability to store credentials on cloud secret managers |
Talend Data Catalog
now supports the following cloud secret managers:
- Amazon AWS Secrets Manager
- Microsoft Azure Key Vault
- Google Secret Manager

JSON file modeling: improvements |
The JSON file modeling has been improved including the new support for root
object types and arrays. The following types of import bridges have been
redesigned and require a full import:
- File systems with JSON files inside, such as File System (JSON), AWS
Simple Storage Service File System, Microsoft Azure Data Lake Storage
Gen2, Google Cloud Storage File System or OpenStack Swift Object Store
File System.
- NoSQL databases based on JSON, such as MongoDB NoSQL Database or Apache
CouchDB NoSQL Database.
- ETL, ELT, Data Integration and Business Intelligence bridges reading or
writing JSON file based data stores, such as Data Mapping Script,
Talend Data Integration or Informatica PowerCenter (Repository).
|
New support for complex types |
The following types of import bridges now support complex types (arrays and
structures) often on tables implemented or externalized as JSON files:
- Databases supporting complex types implemented as external files, such as
Apache Hadoop Hive Database (HCatalog and Metastore via JDBC), Google Cloud
Platform Hadoop Hive Database, Google BigQuery Database or Snowflake
Database.
- ETL, ELT, Data Integration and Business Intelligence bridges reading or
writing database complex types, such as Data Mapping Script, Apache Hadoop
Hive Database SQL DML Script, Talend Data Integration or Informatica PowerCenter (Repository).
