Batch process

Select the Batch process option if you want the target program to write the transaction records in a binary file (or batch file) rather than in a database, so as to store the transaction records and subsequently replicate them on other target machines.

1. To enable this feature, select the Batch process check box to display a field used to specify the location to which the batch file must be written.
2. Indicate the write path.
   • For an NT target, you can specify it in the UNC format (//server/resource/path). 

     You can drag and drop from the Windows Explorer to avoid typing the full path.

   • For an AS/400 IBMi target is a library name. If no library is specified, the DD_USRDATA library is used by default.

    The batch file produced is named:

    Lee_sssddd

    Where the following applies: 

   • ee is the environment,

   • sss is the source ID (defined in the environment),

   • ddd stands for the distribution.

    

3. Once the batch file has been sent to the target machine to the directory in which Talend Change Data Capture is located, start the DDLOT.exe executable (on NT) or CALL DDLOT (on AS/400 IBMi) using the batch name as the parameter.
