AS/400 IBMi target

Property	Description
Independent ASP Group	This specifies the target iASPGRP.
Null supported	This property affects the access of non-SQL (RRN, Key, and Backup) to process the null value to a target field, if the source field (buffer 0 as a result of affecting buffer I with or without transformation) is null. It is the default value for all of the distributed tables (tables being part of this distribution). If a table/file is defined in SQL access mode and if a source field is null, the target field will also have the null value by default only if this target field accepts the null value.
Default library	The default library is used to change the default library in which the files are located on the target machine, only if the target machine is addressed using TCP-IP. If the link between the source machine and the AS/400 IBMi target is established through SNA, the list of libraries is taken from the source machine. If this value is not entered, the default library remains the library in which the file is located on the source machine. Information noteWarning: If you replicate within the same AS/400 IBMi machine, take care not to replicate the file to itself. Information noteNote: As a reminder, you can specify a destination library for each file individually in the file properties in the model and in the distributed file properties. If the desired library is not found in the list of libraries, it may be because it was created after the parameter definition program was started. You can refresh the library list for AS/400 IBMi by pressing the F5 key (with the cursor in the Default library field).
QPJOBLOG source and target	The Source QPJOBLOG button is displayed only for an AS/400 IBMi source. The Target QPJOBLOG button is displayed only for an AS/400 IBMi target. These buttons are used to download the contents of the QPJOBLOG of the source machine or the target machine, depending on your choice. Information noteNote: You cannot download the QPJOBLOG contents unless the distribution is stopped.

Description

Database type

This specifies the nature of the target database.

Data source

This parameter is used to select the data source (ODBC DSN) configured on the target machine.

You must create the DSN on the target machine before distributing the model on the target, using the Data Source Manager (ODBC).

When you select a data source, the login window below is displayed for you to enter your security parameters.

The user ID displayed by default is the current Windows NT session user's name.

Click OK to test the connection with the target databases.

A message informs you as to whether the connection attempt succeeded or failed.

Table name syntax

This option is used to specify the syntax used to create the target table's name. The choices available depend directly on the nature of the target database.

Syntax	DB type	Description
File Table	All	The target table name is composed only of the target file name.
Library_File Db_Table	All	The target table name is composed of the name of the target library, the underscore character, and the target table name.
Library..File Db..Table	MS SQL Server for example	With this naming procedure, you can use the target library name as the destination database name.
Library.File DB.Table	Oracle for example	With this naming procedure, you can use the target library name as the destination database schema name.

Note: As a reminder, the library name and target file name are obtained by applying the default value substitution rules.

Default DB (MS SQL Server for example)

This option is displayed only for an MS SQL Server-type target DB, and if the syntax you chose for the table name is Library..File.

You can then choose the name you want to assign to the target database that is selected by default.

If nothing is selected, the library name of the source file is used as the default database name.

Default schema (Oracle for example)

This option is displayed only for an Oracle-type target DB, and if the syntax you chose for the table name is Library.File.

You can then choose the name you want to assign to the target schema that is selected by default.

If nothing is selected, the library name of the source file is used as the default schema name.
