Talend Runtime is usually upgraded by installing a patch on top of an existing container. However, when there are core framework upgrades, relying on patches becomes impossible. Instead, the latest Long-term support (LTS) version with the most recent baseline of dependencies should be fully installed.

These Talend Runtime LTS versions are installed as complete new installations, therefore requiring a migration from the previously installed one.

These LTS versions are:
  • 7.3.1 initial (released 2020-02-19)
  • 7.3.1-R2022-09-RT (released 2022-10-24)

To install the new version, follow either the manual or automatic migration procedures explained below. Then, replicate the runtime configurations and bundle installations to the new version.
