Data Fabric

MDM Platform

As data integration Jobs are shared between the Integration and the MDM perspectives, you can deploy any of these Jobs on the MDM server directly from the MDM perspective.

Before you begin

You have already connected to the MDM server from Talend Studio. At least one data integration Job has been created in the Integration perspective.

About this task

To deploy a Job on a specific MDM server, do the following:

Procedure

  1. From the MDM perspective and in the MDM Repository tree view, expand the Job Designs node and then right-click the Job you want to deploy.
Note: If you want to deploy multiple Jobs at the same time, press and hold down the Ctrl key while you click each of the Jobs you want to deploy.
  2. From the contextual menu, select Deploy To....
  3. A dialog box opens, asking you to add dependencies for the objects to be deployed. For more information about dependencies between objects, see Managing item dependencies in the MDM Repository.
Click Continue to proceed to the next step.
  4. If appropriate, select the server where you want to deploy the objects in the Select a server location definition dialog box.
Click OK to close the dialog box.
  5. In the Deploy to Talend MDM dialog box that opens, leave the Context scripts check box selected.
  6. Click Finish to deploy your objects.

You can also undeploy a deployed Job from the MDM server from the MDM perspective. For further information, see Undeploying Jobs from the MDM perspective.
