Master key rotation is mandatory in Talend Administration Center 8.0.
After migrating to 8.0, you need to change the master key.
- If you are migrating from 7.3:
- If you have changed the default key in Talend Administration Center 7.3, you need to copy the key to the <tomcat_path>\WEB-INF\classes\configuration.properties file of the Talend Administration Center 8.0. If you have set up a cluster involving multiple Talend Administration Center instances, you need to copy the master key to the configuration.properties of all Talend Administration Center nodes.
- If you didn't change the default key in Talend Administration Center 7.3, after migration, you need to change it from the Talend Administration Center 8.0 Web application. For more information, see Setting the custom key for encryption in the Installation Guide.
- If you are migrating from 7.1 or 7.2, after migration, you also need to change the master key from the Talend Administration Center 8.0 Web application. For more information, see Setting the custom key for encryption in the Installation Guide.
