AS/400 IBMi target

Default target

This is the name of the target file that is updated by the distribution.

Refer below to the rule applied for determining the target table name.

 

Target DB

This parameter is used to specify the destination library/database/schema of your choice for the table, if the default target cannot be used.

The list shows all the libraries present on the target machine.

Information noteWarning: For an AS/400 IBMi target accessed using SNA, the list of libraries displayed (for the parameter definition phase) is that of the source machine.You must ensure that the library you choose exists in the actual target machine.

 

Target table

This parameter is used to specify the destination table of your choice, if the default target cannot be used.

The list shows all the tables present on the target machine for the library/database/schema specified in the target DB parameter or for the default value specified in Default target if the target DB parameter is blank.

 

Information noteNote: For an AS/400 IBMi target accessed using SNA, the list of files displayed (for the parameter definition phase) is that of the source machine. You must ensure that the file you choose exists in the actual target machine.

 

Target member

Used to specify the destination member of your choice, if the default member cannot be used.

The list shows all the members present on the target machine for the file. In addition to the existing members, the generic term *FIRST is added.
