Creating a Workday integration system user

Before you begin

This task assumes that you have taken all the steps described in Generating a certificate and key files for your Workday user account and have logged in to Workday using your user account credentials.

Procedure

  1. Launch the Create Integration System User task by entering Create Integration System User in the search bar and clicking Create Integration System User in the search result list.
    The Create Integration System User page appears.
    Information noteNote: To launch a task or a report in Workday, enter a part or the full name of the task or the report in the search bar on the top of the Workday page and click the desired task or report in the result list that appears under the search bar.
  2. Type in the username and password in the corresponding fields as prompted and click OK.
    A new page appears, which shows the information about the integration system user that is created, including the security groups which the integration system user belongs to.
    Information noteNote:
    • The fields marked with a red star are mandatory for creating integration system users.
    • Store the username and password in a safe place for later use.
  3. Launch the Configure Web Service Security task.
    The Configure Web Service Security page appears, which prompts for the integration system user.
  4. Enter the name of the integration system user just created in the Integration System User field and click OK.
    The page refreshes, prompting for the x509 public key.
  5. Enter the name of the x509 public key and click OK.
    This task associates the x509 public key to the DocTest Workday integration system user account. For more information about the x509 public key, see Generating a certificate and key files for your Workday user account.
