Properties to configure to establish a connection to Google Cloud Storage.

Selection Select or enter Google Cloud Storage.

Engine Select your engine in the list.
Google cloud storage Google credentials Paste the content of the JSON file that contains your service account key. To know more about the Google Cloud authentication process, read the Google Cloud documentation.
Description Enter a display name (mandatory) and a description (optional) for the connection.

Google Cloud Storage dataset

Property Configuration
Dataset name Enter a display name for the dataset. This name will be used as a unique identifier of the dataset in all Talend Cloud apps.
Connection Select your connection in the list. If you are creating a dataset based on an existing connection, this field is read-only.
Bucket name Select or enter the name of your Cloud Storage bucket.
Blob name Select or enter the name of the file to be retrieved.
Content type format CSV format Enter or select the information related to the CSV file you want to retrieve:
  • Line separator type: Select the type of line separator used in the file to be retrieved. If you select Other, you will be able to enter a custom line separator in the line separator string field.
  • Encoding type: Select the type of encoding used in the file to be retrieved. If you select Other, you will be able to enter a custom encoding type in the Custom encoding field.
  • Header: enable this option if the file to be retrieved contains header lines and enter or select the number of lines to be skipped in the schema.
  • Field separator type: Select the type of field separator used in the file to be retrieved. If you select Other, you will be able to enter a custom separator in the Field separator encoding field.
    Information noteNote: When you enable the Header option, Space cannot be used as a field separator.
Avro format No specific parameters required for this format.
Excel format Enter or select the information related to the Excel file you want to retrieve:
  • Excel format: Select the format/version corresponding to the file to be retrieved.
  • Sheet name: Enter the name of the specific Excel sheet you want to be retrieved.
  • Header/Footer: Enable these options if the file to be retrieved contains header and/or footer lines and enter or select the number of lines to be skipped in the schema.
JSON format No specific parameters required for this format.
