Talend Remote Engine

Improvements in Talend Remote Engine 2.10.0

Feature Description
Talend Runtime connection It is now possible to run data service and Routes tasks from Talend Management Console even if Talend Remote Engine and Talend Runtime are installed on different machines.
Information noteImportant: While feasible to install Talend Remote Engine and Talend Runtime on different machines, this implementation is primarily for edge cases and has not run through standard QA process. Thus, it is still mandatory to install both on the same machine for compatibility and support.
Remote run/debug enhancement You can use the remote run/debug feature even if Talend Studio and Talend Remote Engine are installed on different machines.
Opening TCP ports To increase security, we have changed the default settings of the following ports to localhost:
  • JobServer ports: all ports used for internal Talend Remote Engine and Talend JobServer communication
  • Data Service Runner ports: all ports used for log collection
