Creating Remote Engine Gen2


  1. In Talend Management Console, go to the Processing page.
  2. Click the Engines tab.
  3. Click Add and select Remote Engine Gen2 .
  4. Select the environment in which to create the engine.
  5. Select the workspace to which you want to assign your engine.
    By default, engines can be used in all the workspaces of the environment.
    To restrict the access to the engine, allocate the engine to be available in only one specific workspace. Only users with the Execute permission on the workspace can access and use the engine.
  6. Enter the name of the engine.


  7. Optional: Enter the description of the engine.
  8. Click Save.
    The created Remote Engine Gen2 appears on the Engines tab of the Processing page. The engine is in Not paired state.
  9. Click on the name of the engine to access the Engine details page.
  10. Copy the Pair key to your clipboard.
    The key is required when using the script provided in the Remote Engine Gen2 archive to start the engine.

What to do next

Install the Remote Engine Gen2:
  • Click Downloads for installation to go to the Downloads page, and install and pair the engine using the execution script provided with the engine archive.
