Talend Data Catalog Application

New features and improvements

Feature Description

Data Flow: split lineage flags into object and trace specific flags

Added new option Show External Table Location Objects to the lineage filter dialog. Improved the code to remove bidirectional links when possible and make them unidirectional when the flow of data in the surrounding nodes gives a clear direction.

Any Database DDL and DML import: support for multi-model Added support for multi-model import for any Database DDL and DML.

Worksheets and dashboards: associated to a configuration instead of system wide

Users can now assign configurations to both worksheets and dashboards. In Manage Worksheets, Manage Dashboards screens, users will see all worksheets and dashboards. However, the list of available worksheets / dashboards will be filtered to only show the ones that are applicable in the Worksheets / Dashboards explorers and main menus.

Notable fixes

Issue Description

REST API: Response surrounded by quotes

Fixed the issue that attribute names are surrounded by quotes when legacy attribute quotation marks, for example, #...#, [...],{...}, <...>, are used.

Data Flow Lineage: incorrect highlight for the column

Fixed incorrect column highlighting in analysis diagram.
Model Import: UI appends extra semicolon after URL processing Fixed the URL processing to remove extra semicolons.

Glossary classification: classification links show when moving glossary

Ignored glossary classification links when loading the configuration connections.

Deployment: the Setup utility fails to start up on Japanese Windows with java.lang.NullPointerException

The Setup utility now works on all languages.

Configuration management: old stitching remains present in the configuration

Fixed the problem that old stitching is not removed from the configuration during configuration update and build.

Data mapping: duplicate links for bulk mapping

Removed duplicate links for all the bulk mappings.

License: the software is disabled only after a restart once the license is expired

Fixed the problem by checking the license on a timer. If the license expires, all users are logged out and the scheduler is disabled.
