Using Custom roles
About this task
To fine-tune rights management, ten custom roles can be used (Custom Role 1 to Custom Role 10) to assign users any combination of rights available for other roles (Administrator, Security Administrator, Designer, Operation Manager and Viewer).
By default, these roles are not enabled and have no rights assigned.
Information noteNote: Custom roles cannot be assigned to users with the No Project Access type.
Procedure
- In the Menu tree-view, click Rights management.
- Select the Custom Role(s) to enable.
- Select the rights to assign to the custom role(s).
Results
On your next connection to Talend Administration Center, the custom roles you have enabled will appear in the Role drop-down, on the Users page.
