About Talend Management Console and Dynamic Engine

Availability-noteBeta

Talend Management Console and Dynamic Engine solution provides SaaS capabilities and experience on customer-controlled infrastructure.

The offering addresses the needs of enterprise and federal organizations that have strict policies prohibiting processing data in cloud-based solutions.

  • Talend Dynamic Engine consists of logical entities created in Talend Management Console by Talend Cloud users, Dynamic Engine environments for processing resources, and runtime services operating as Kubernetes clusters, connected to Talend Cloud and associated with this logical entity.
  • Talend Management Console and its API services manage users, tasks, and their ecosystems including Dynamic Engines.

Talend Dynamic Engine serves as a unique infrastructure to simplify task executions, concealing the complexity of current Talend engines.

For the current Beta version, only Data Integration Job tasks are supported.

This feature is available as a public beta version for users who have a Talend Cloud Data Fabric license and only for the AWS US, EU, and Azure US regions.

The following diagram describes the architecture of Talend Management Console and Dynamic Engine.

The architecture of control plane and dynamic engine

In this architecture, you only need to use Talend Management Console to manage data operations. Talend Management Console provides UI features and API services for this purpose. Behind the scenes, Talend Cloud knows how to communicate with a Dynamic Engine deployed in your Kubernetes cluster. This enables efficient management of a Dynamic Engine, handling processes such as deploying Dynamic Engine environments on a registered customer-managed Kubernetes cluster and ensuring secure data processing in those environments.
