Talend Management Console email notifications

Talend Management Console offers the possibility to enable different email notifications. Depending on your permissions or roles, or workspace permissions if an event is workspace-related, that list can be different.

As explained in the previous section, the Profile preferences page allows you to define your global preferences about the types of notifications you intend to receive. Those types are detailed in the following table.

The following table presents the email notification types and the required permissions
Name Required permissions Description
User has been created Management Console > Users - Manage An email notification is sent each time a user that has the Infrastructure Administrator role is created.
User has been deleted Management Console > Users - Manage An email notification is sent each time a user that has the Infrastructure Administrator role is deleted.
Remote engine has been created Management Console > Engines - Manage An email notification is sent each time a remote engine is created.
Remote engine has been deleted Management Console > Engines - Manage An email notification is sent each time a remote engine is deleted.
Remote engine is not available Management Console > Engines - Manage An email notification is sent each time a remote engine is not available.
Custom workspace has been created
  • Management Console > Environments - Manage

    and

  • Execute or View workspace permission
An email notification is sent each time a custom workspace is created.
Custom workspace has been deleted Management Console > Environments - Manage An email notification is sent each time a custom workspace is deleted.
Task has successfully run
  • Execute or View workspace permission
and one of the following conditions:
  • Management Console > Engines - Manage user permission
  • Management Console > Projects - Manage user permission
  • Operations - Manage user permission (the Operator role)
  • You are the executor or author of the tasks.
 An email notification is sent each time a task, for which you have the permissions as explained in the Required permissions column, has successfully run.
Task ran with rejected rows
  • Execute or View workspace permission
and one of the following conditions:
  • Management Console > Engines - Manage user permission
  • Management Console > Projects - Manage user permission
  • Operations - Manage user permission (the Operator role)
  • You are the executor or author of the tasks.
 An email notification is sent if some rows of records were rejected while running a task for which you have the required permissions.
Task run has failed
  • Execute or View workspace permission
and one of the following conditions:
  • Management Console > Engines - Manage user permission
  • Management Console > Projects - Manage user permission
  • Operations - Manage user permission (the Operator role)
  • You are the executor or author of the tasks.
 An email notification is sent each time a task, for which you have the permissions as explained in the Required permissions column, fails.
Plan has been successfully run
  • Execute or View workspace permission
and one of the following conditions:
  • Management Console > Engines - Manage user permission
  • Management Console > Projects - Manage user permission
  • Operations - Manage user permission (the Operator role)
  • You are the executor or author of the plans.
 An email notification is sent each time a plan, for which you have the permissions as explained in the Required permissions column, is successfully run.
Plan run has failed
  • Execute or View workspace permission
and one of the following conditions:
  • Management Console > Engines - Manage user permission
  • Management Console > Projects - Manage user permission
  • Operations - Manage user permission (the Operator role)
  • You are the executor or author of the plans.
 An email notification is sent each time a plan, for which you have the permissions as explained in the Required permissions column, fails.
