A workflow is a set of connected steps designed in Talend Studio. These steps require an automatic intervention or a human intervention through Talend MDM Web UI.

Talend MDM Web UI provides a Workflow Console which navigates directly to a dedicated web portal for managing the workflow experience. When a given workflow is triggered, any required human intervention(s) will be listed in the Bonita BPM web portal pages and all tasks included in the workflow will need to be fulfilled by authorized users.

To manage workflow tasks in the Bonita BPM web portal, the information about MDM users must be synchronized to the BPM server. For more information about how to synchronize workflow users manually, see Synchronizing workflow users manually.

In the Bonita BPM web portal, a Bonita Administrator is a profile that gives a user rights to view and manage organizations, users and tasks. Only users with the administration role (System_Admin) should be associated with the Bonita Administrator profile. All MDM users should be associated with the Bonita User profile.

For more information about how manage workflow tasks as a Bonita User, see Managing workflow tasks as a Bonita User.
