Publishing a pipeline to Talend Management Console

Before you begin

  • You must have the Operator role in Talend Management Console.
  • You have previously created a pipeline.
  • The engine behind your source dataset is available.
  • Your pipeline is complete and valid, which means it runs without errors.
Information noteWarning: You can only publish batch pipelines, publishing streaming pipelines is not supported.

Procedure

  1. On the Pipelines page, click the pipeline that you have created to open it in the designer.
  2. Click the Publish icon on the top toolbar to publish the pipeline.
The Publish new artifact window shows the version, environment, and workspace fields users can choose before publishing.
  3. In the [Publish new artifact] window:
    1. Change the publishing version if necessary.
    2. Select the environment in which you want your pipeline artifact to be published.
The list of available environments depends on the environments you have access to.
    3. Select the workspace in which you want your pipeline artifact to be published.
The list of available workspaces depends on the environment previously selected and the workspaces you have access to.
    4. Click Publish.

Results

A confirmation message is displayed to indicate whether the pipeline has been published successfully to Talend Management Console or if there was an error.
The notification bar indicates that the pipeline was successfully published with a specific artifact version.

What to do next

Once the pipeline has been published, you can click the Artifact details link in the notification message to switch to the Talend Management Console application and create tasks based on this pipeline artifact.
On the Management page of Talend Management Console, a task based on the published artifact has been created.

If you have configured context variables in your pipeline before publishing it, you can visualize and override these variable values from Talend Management Console.
