Creating a JRXML template for Hebrew content

You can import a built-in JRXML template in Talend Studio and adapt it to support Hebrew right-to-left layout.

Before you begin

You have selected the Profiling perspective.

Procedure

  1. From the DQ Repository tree view, expand Libraries.
  2. Right-click JRXML Template and select Import Built-in JRXML.
  3. Export the JRXML template you want to edit.
    For example, export b01_column_basic.
  4. Open the exported JRXML template in a reporting tool.
  5. Locate the text element to be modified and edit its properties.
    For example, edit the properties of Label_frequency_indicator in b01_column_basic.
    1. Set the Font Name to Arial.
    2. Set the Pdf Font name to ARIAL.TTF.
    3. Select the Pdf Embedded check box.
  6. Locate the chart element to be modified and edit its properties.
    For example, edit the properties of element-Frequency_graphs2 in b01_column_basic.
  7. Set the Render Type to image.
  8. Save the JRXML template.
  9. Import the JRXML template and override the default built-in template in Talend Studio:
    1. From the DQ Repository tree view, expand Libraries.
    2. Right-click JRXML Template or the relevant sub-folder under JRXML Template.
    3. Select Import JRXML

Results

You can generate report files using the adapted JRXML template and get Hebrew content rendered properly.
