Setting the maximum number of login attempts

After the selected maximum number of failed attempts, your native user account will be locked. By default, this option is disabled.

Before you begin

You have been assigned a global role with the Security Administration capability.

Procedure

  1. Go to MANAGE > Users.
  2. In Max failed logins, select the maximum number of sequential invalid login attempts that can be made by any native user.
Exceeding the number of specified invalid login attempts locks the user. In order to login again, the user account must be unlocked from the Manage Users page with the Unlock action in the context menu. Simply disabling the Max failed logins does not unlock the user account.

You may lock any account except the Administrator at any time as long as you have been assigned a global role with the Security Administration capability.
