Configuring a Microsoft Azure application for POP and IMAP

To access Microsoft Exchange online mailboxes using tPOP and tSendMail in the Microsoft Exchange authentication mode, you need to register an application with Microsoft Azure Active Directory and assign related permissions to the application first.

This article explains how to do it via the following steps:

  1. Registering a Microsoft Azure application for POP and IMAP
  2. Granting permissions to the application
  3. Retrieving application settings for registering the service principal in Microsoft Exchange

This article assumes that you have a valid Microsoft Azure administrator user account.
