Duplicating connections

You can copy any connection type to another workspace for which you have access.

Before you begin

  • You must have the Manage permission enabled for the workspace where the connection is stored.
  • Ensure that the connection to be matched in Talend Studio does not use \ in its parameter values. When a connection needs to use \ to be interpreted as a special character, such as in \t, use \\ instead in both Talend Studio and Talend Management Console.

Procedure

  1. Open the Management page.
  2. Go to the Connections tab.
  3. To duplicate a connection, hover over its name in the list and click the icon.
You can use the Environment drop-down list, the quick search and the Workspace and Application facets to filter the list.
  4. Optional: In the Copy Connection page, select another workspace for which you have access, if necessary.
  5. Enter the name of the new connection.
  6. Edit the other fields as needed, for example, configuring additional parameters.
  7. Click Save.
