P2 Update Site

Development

In order to use the Zero Install CI functionality, you need to host the P2 repository, plus patches on an http/https server, so that it can be downloaded by the build tool. The P2 repository allows Talend metadata to be compiled into Talend binaries. If a patch is released by Talend, the entire P2 repository does not have to be updated; the patches are simply hosted on the same website and the URL of each patch is added to the CI configuration. The P2 repository is only updated when a new version of Talend Studio is released.

For more information about zero install CI capabilities of Talend, see Talend 7.2.1 CI zero install workflow explained.

It is recommended to use services provided by your IaaS vendor of choice to host the P2 repository as opposed to installing and maintaining a http server yourself.

For example, AWS S3 provides the capability to create a static website: Hosting a static website using Amazon S3.
