Data flow lineage
In Talend Data Catalog, data
flow lineage shows how catalog assets are related to each other. There are two types of data
flow analysis:
- Data impact applies downstream in the data flow. It refers to a forward lineage question, such as asking what will be impacted by a change or how changing this element can impact the whole business intelligence process chain.
- Data lineage applies upstream in the data flow. It refers to a reverse lineage question, such as asking where the information comes from and how it was processed.
