Unassigning an environment from a Dynamic Engine

Availability-noteBeta

Unassign an environment from a Dynamic Engine. The next task runs from the environment will not occur in the Dynamic Engine.

When an environment is assigned to a Dynamic Engine, the existing settings of engine and run profile are overridden for this environment. Unassigning an environment from a Dynamic Engine reverts the override of these settings.

Before you begin

You must have the Environment Administrator (containing TMC_ENVIRONMENT_MANAGEMENT permission) role in Talend Management Console.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Processing page.
  2. Open the Dynamic Engines tab.
  3. Click a Dynamic Engine name in the list to open the details panel.
  4. Click the Manage button to open the page for assigning or unassigning environments.
  5. Select the environment to be unassigned.
  6. Click Unassign.
  7. Confirm the environment unassignment.
  8. Close the dialog.

Results

Ongoing tasks will continue to run but their status will not be recorded. Tasks in this environment will not run until the environment is assigned to a Dynamic Engine again.

If the environment is successfully unassigned, its status changes to Not assigned.
