Managing licenses

Licenses management can be found in the Manager, through Source > License management screen. Licenses are stored on each machine.


  1. In the Server combo box, a list of the Talend Change Data Capture available sources on the machine. Select the source or enter the IP address or DNS of the Talend Change Data Capture machine you want to manage.
  2. Click Connect to obtain a list of the available licences of the machine.

    Every browser will go through the license list in order to check the availability of at least one license with the desired characteristics:

    • If at least one license is available, the list shows active, inactive and expired licenses. Inactive licenses are displayed in red color.
    • Otherwise, the screen displays the following message: No license was found.
    Information noteNote: In case a backup machine needs to be installed: the production machine can have the license for the current machine and the one for the backup machine. During the backup process, the two license files are copied into the backup machine. The backup license will only be active when required by the backup machine.

    This makes machine migration easier to perform: it is possible to anticipate the input of the license before the migration.
