Configuring bidirectional replication

This section describes a use case where different databases are located on various business locations (A, B, or more). Changes may occur locally on each separate database. The objective is to synchronize all data so that we have exactly the same data stored on the database of each different business location.

Databases are considered as either source or target, depending on the direction of the dataflow.

Supported databases are DB2 for IBM i (on AS/400 IBMi), MS SQL Server and Oracle.

The role of the primary machine (A) is to manage the synchronization process on the secondary machines (B). You can have as many secondary machines as necessary.

Talend Change Data Capture Manager enables to manage all replications from a central business location.

For this, both the primary machine and the secondary machines need to be configured.
