AS/400 IBMi user profile
By default, the DATADIST user ID (called "working profile" in the command below) is created with extensive rights (*SECOFR level) but it is protected.
The installation procedure uses the following creation order:
CRTUSRPRF USRPRF(DATADIST) PASSWORD(*NONE) STATUS(*DISABLED) USRCLS(*SECOFR) INLMNU(*SIGNOFF) LMTCPB(*YES) TEXT(Talend CDC working profile)
This profile is used in the jobd so that all Talend Change Data Capture Jobs are started with this user ID, which facilitates, QPJOBLOG and spool search.
It is possible to secure the DATADIST user rights so that they cannot be used by another AS/400 IBMi user.
To do so, you need to:
- set *EXCLUDE value on PUBLIC parameter,
- limit the DATADIST rights to the security officer profile (QSECOFR).
More users can also be added.
