Refer to Hardware and software requirements for source databases before starting the installation of MS SQL Server source.

About this task

Procedure

  1. When you install for the first time or add a new instance, you must specify the name of the server and the instance on which you want to install Talend Change Data Capture for MS SQL Server, and the password for the sa profile (or a profile with sysadmin role).
  2. Select SQL Server Local in the drop-down list.
  3. If the MS SQL Server is installed without an instance, you must leave the Instance parameter empty.
  4. Choose the proper ODBC driver.

Results

Talend Change Data Capture then creates and installs the elements required by MS SQL Server.

An installation log is also included in the SQLServer sub-directory in the DestinationPath installation directory. It is named SQLInstall~server[@instance].log.
