Installing Oracle source

Follow closely the Oracle requirements.

Then, the entire setup process and the replication can be completed in OCI (Oracle native mode).

Procedure

  1. When you install for the first time or add a new instance, you must specify the name of the server and the iSQLnet service (Oracle instance for Talend Change Data Capture), on which Talend Change Data Capture for Oracle will be installed and the password for the system profile (or an equivalent profile).
  2. Use the RedoLogMode check box to select the capture mode:
    • RedoLog: Oracle 10G minimum and ArchiveLog mode activated
    • Trigger: all versions with or without ArchiveLog mode

Results

Talend Change Data Capture then creates and installs the elements required by Oracle. An installation log is also included in the Oracle sub-directory in the DestinationPath installation directory. It is called OracleInstall~instance.log.
